  • Dr. Charles Nyman is the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship Program Director and the Associate Director Interventional Cardiac Anesthesia at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr Nyman is currently the course co-director for the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Echo Week and is committed to educating trainees and anesthesiologists in the role of advanced preoperative echocardiography. Dr. Nyman lectures regularly at both regional and national meetings in the United States and internationally including the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Annual meeting, Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Echo Week and the American Society of Echocardiography. In addition to echocardiography education Dr. Nyman has a particular interest in echocardiography for structural heart disease and is actively involved in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital structural heart team. In addition, he is involved in the peri-procedural anesthesia management and imaging in multiple research trials investigating new and novel percutaneous therapies.
