- Professor Wang comes from Beijing, China. He is chairman of the Departments of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine of Peking University First Hospital. He graduated from Peking Medical University (current name Peking University Health Science Center) in 1987 and acquired MD degree, and from Graduate School of Peking Medical University in 1993 and acquired PhD degree. From 1987, he worked in Peking Medical University First Hospital (current name Peking University First Hospital). His clinical activities mainly focus on the perioperative care of geriatric patients. His scientific research mainly focuses on the prevention strategies for postoperative organ injury and complications, and the measures to improve long-term outcomes after surgery. Professor Wang has more than 170 original papers published in national and international journals. In 2016, the team of Professor Wang published their original paper in the Lancet.
