  • Dr. Subramani is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia, Director Echocardiography simulation center at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, USA. Dr. Subramani is a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist whose research interests revolve around minimally invasive cardiac procedures, Heart and Lung transplantation. He and his group have published several experts’ reviews on trans-catheter aortic valve implantation. He is an active member of various international anesthesia associations such as ASA, SCA, IARS, ASE, ISA, IACTA, and part of various committees especially SCA research grant review and blood conservation. He is a fellow of American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Subramani is an avid educator, lecturing many countries- USA, India, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Dr. Subramani is a reviewer of anesthesia related journals – Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, Annals of Cardiac Anaesthesia and Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical pharmacology. He has published more than 40 articles predominantly in cardiac anesthesia.
